Surviving A Head On Collision

By Pete S.

On September 25, 2010 my wife and I were on our way to pick up our son and then go to the Multiple Scorcis City to Shore 75 mile bike ride. The ride is a major fund raiser for MS in the Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey area. At 4:50 am a drunk driver came over the hill in our lane. I had less than 100 feet to avoid hitting him head on. We were not able to do so. We hit head on traveling at approximately 40 mph. My wife suffered 6 fractured ribs and a compression fracture of her L3 vertebrae. I came away with a compression fracture of the L2 vertebrae. I do not know how we survived the crash. When asked I tell everyone, “It was God and the Ford Taurus who saved our lives.” We cannot come close to thanking everyone at Ford for the safety features in our 2010 Taurus. We want to hug each and every one involved in the design and manufacture of this car. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
