The Lost Mustang

In 1988 my dad factory ordered a maroon 1989 Mustang GT. It was the car that drove me home from the hospital when I was born, the car I grew up in and my dream car. My dad traded it in for an Explorer in 1996 and in 2004 we decided to look for it. We looked up tons of information to try and find it and we found out it would be several counties away. We searched through several junkyards and other places but couldn't find it. Years latter I found out the car had been wrecked in 2002 by a drunk driver. I went to that town and asked the only junkyard owner in that town if he had it, and said he had it for years but finally scrapped it. I now have a 2000 Mustang V6, but hope someday to have a new GT 5.0L.

My father bought a 1991 mustang 5.0 and has had ever since. I was taken home from the hospital in that car as well! My father gave me the car earlier this year and i am in love with it! it is sooooo fast and it just has those roots that tie back to me and it is just an amazing feeling every time i start it up!

So you want to own and drive the car you came home from the hospital you were born in? That's cool and kind of touching-it's like a huge emotional connection to the Mustang in the picture. Seeing you in front of that car in front of that house I have to admire your rootedness, it's just cool.
