Little Red

I was in college in the mid 60's and needed a car. My sister had a used 1965 Mustang coupe with a 200 CID six cylinder and a 3 speed manual trans. It was a very basic mustang but I drove that car until I graduated in 1969. It never failed to start even in the brutal, -20° F winters in Milwaukee, WI. When I graduated I started working at Ford in Powertrain Engineering and treated myself to a new 1969 Mustang Mach I. Over the years I have thought about my Little Red and missed it and all the fun I had in it. Now that I have retired I went out and found a 1964 1/2 Red Mustang Convertible and restored it back to showroom new - all original. It brings back a lot of memories - all good!!

I just retired myself. I have a collection of Mustangs that all need restoring since they were mothballed due to kids and their college educations. As my son called them, they are retirement projects. I have a 68 Cougar XR7 (had it since I was 19 - 58 now), 2 69 Mach I's, 73 Grande and an 88 Thunderbird. Should keep me busy for a while!

When went to Miami I really thought I won a Mustang. After going to Miami and seeing the Mustang displays and seeing how many new Mustangs where on the road verses Toledo, Ohio. I even want 1 more.
