Little Did I Know

When I was able to purchase a new car for myself free and clear, deciding on the Mustang was opening a door to all kinds of fun. Ever since I was a little boy I have wanted to own a muscle car, and always loved the look of classic Mustangs. In 2005 when the Mustang started looking like itself again with retro styling I was really wishing I was behind the wheel of one. Then, out of the blue I was able to purchase one of my own, and went to the dealer to look, feel, and drive a 2009 model. While at the dealer I noticed what was to be my car sitting out on the showroom floor, the new 2010 model with even more retro look than previous years. I drove "Beatrix" home a few days later, with plans to go to a local Mustang club meeting. The Mid Florida Mustang Club at first seemed a little silly to me, but was very quickly attending many cruise-ins and car shows. Winning 1st place LMA at my first ever car show was the proverbial nail in the coffin. I was hooked, but not just on Mustangs, I started going to all sorts of cruise-ins with all makes of cars. I think I have always appreciated the "artwork" of cars, but it took the Mustang to truly bring out the enthusiast in me. Though I am a little jealous that the 2011 will have the all new 5.0 (trade ya!), I absolutely love my car and can't wait to get through my list of modifications.
