Growing Up With My Mustang

Even though the title of my car states it is a 65, we all refer to these cars built prior to Aug 17, 1964 as 64 1/2 Mustangs. I learned to drive on my Aunt's 1964 1/2 Mustang. She bought it new off the trailer when I was 8 years old. I always wanted this car from the day she brought it home. Several years ago, she gave me this car and my husband and I have driven it since then. This car has been in the family and I am proud to be a Legacy Ford Mustang owner of one of the first Mustang Convertibles ever built. In fact, the convertible top is the original top. The car has less than 75k miles and we plan to totally restore it for our son Tommy, who was named after his Aunt Tommy Ann, the original owner, and his grandfather Thomas, .

Very nice! My dad bought a '65 Fastback 2+2 brand new and it made me a Mustang fan for life. I later owned that car after my brother owned it for many years and did a full restore on it. When I sold it it had 245,000 miles and was still going strong. Take care.
