'Ol Blue

I bought a 1984 Ford Tempo GL from a friend in 2006 for $80. Super clean car, ran great, only 92,000 miles on it. Kind of a pain to get smogged but got it to pass after installing a new CA catalytic converter. This car is awesome, I received so many compliments on it. It still gets 34mpg hwy and 22mpg in town. I used it to commute to work and drove it from Coeur d Alene, ID to Sacramento, CA several times with no problems. Cofortable and fun to drive, you can park it anywhere. I got another vehicle a couple of years ago and fixed the Tempo up a bit and gave it to my daughter for her first car and it has been great! She got in an accident about a month after I gave it to her, and we just went to Pick-n-Pull and got parts and fixed it right back up. It was a fun project to work on together. She's still driving it and it still runs great. My son will start driving next year and we are going to give the Tempo to him to cut his teeth on. Next year the car will be 30 Years old, it only has about 130,000 miles on it. I just had to let Ford know that this car is still on the road! Thanks Ford
