A Trusty Little Machine

By John M.

The wife and I had two small children. When it came time for them to start school we had only one vehicle. I required the car to go to work. The wife was left seeking rides with neighbors to get the children to school. After several months of doing that we decided it was time to purchase a second car. A fellow church member sold used cars. I approached him about getting something that was dependenable. He told us that he had a 1962 Ford Falcon. We looked at it and drove it. It fIt our needs to a tee. The wife used our original vehicle to take the children to school and repay the neighbors kindness by providing rides to their children. I used the Falcon to go back and forth to work. That Falcon served us faithfully for many years. We eventually sold it to another person.
