1957 Ford Fairiane 500

By Cris S.

My first Ford was a 1957 Fairlane 500 and I got the car when I was 16, after that I have owned many more cars, some not Fords and I tell you I have always come back to the Ford name. Their quality, value, style, and comfort, just to name a few has the other companies beat, hands down. I have owned Three Ranger Pickups, an F-150, Three Mustangs, Two thunderbirds, one LTD, a Mercury Montego, Ford Focus, Ford Fushion. I have to tell you though that 1957 Fairlane was a special car and it had the 312 Engine Thunderbird engine in it and it was really a nice heavy duty car. It was in the family a long time, as I gave it to my sister and she sold it back to me. I got rid of it in around the early 1980's. It was completly original and when you drove it down the street everyone looked. It was a beautiful car. I currently own a 2009 Ford Fushion and I would have to say it is the best car I have ever owned. i have 30,000 miles on it and it has never been in the shop for anything. except and oil change and tire rotation. It gets 32-34 MPG on the highway. 29-30 mpg around town. i love the car. It is a keeper.
