Falcon vs Charger vs SS

It's been suggested by many people.

The Charger hasn't really had any competition, at least until Chevrolet releases the SS. Give us Ford fans some choice, while giving Chevy and Dodge some competition.

Bring over the Falcon in the GT body style, throw the 5.0L Coyote from the Mustang GT in it, price it competitively with the Charger R/T, and I'll buy it. Even the 3.5 Ecoboost could compete with the Charger R/T, but not the SS if it gets the 6.2L, so let's stick with the 5.0L.

You could even throw the 3.7L V6 in it if you wanna compete with Dodge's V6.

I'm looking to trade in my 2010 Fusion in the next year or so, and I'd like to go bigger with more power, but I'm not wanting a FWD Taurus (or even a SHO)

The people have spoken Ford, will you listen?

Nestor makes a point. however I do think the Falcon would be a good addition to the Global scene. And if Ford has no dog in the performance sedan fight then it cannot really know what sales it is losing. At somepoint you need to go for it. Perhaps they are waiting to see how the SS is doing but I for one would love to see the Falcon go Global.

Something like this would depend on whether there's a strong market for rwd full size sedans, if not, why bother? Now Ford listens to the masses, over what some individual people say on a forum so don't be upset if this doesn't happen people.

if ford listened to its customers they wouldnt have axed the crown vic.

Ford NEVER listens to its customers. If they did we would have a V6 2013 Fusion and Ranger love this idea but it will never happen we will have to buy a dodge or chevy

The FPV Boss GT Falcon does use a supercharged Coyote 5.0L and its rated at 449-hp/420-lb-ft of torque so they have already done it. This will destroy the Taurus SHO and unlike the Taurus there is room for even more power with the 5.0. Supposedly the next Falcon and Mustang will share the same platform. Will Ford pull the trigger on a new worldwide RWD sedan and sell it here or go and build another Focus derivative instead.

the chevy ss is going to have the same platform as the pontiac g8, and holdon commodore ss, and that platform has only a 355 HP V8 which is already in the ball park of the taurus SHO. so is the 390 HP charger RT. What chevy will do to the ss isn't going to be a massive inprovment of the G8, and commodore so the 5.0 V8 is Unnecessary.

Yeah.. That sounds pretty great. If Ford America will listen to is customers!
