Myford Touch restart and turn off screen

Can you make a button for restarting the MyFord Touch when it starts acting up? I've had it for 2 weeks and 3 times it crashed, so I had to stop on the side of the road turn the car off, open the door and then it rebooted.

Reboot while in Park would be the way to go.

I wish I could put in 100 votes on this. A better option would be to fix it so it doesn't need to be reset so often, but we know *that* isn't going to happen.

The MFT system doesn't run anything crucial. You will just lose navigation, radio, cell phone and climate control during the reboot process. It's not like the stability control or air bags won't work during the reboot.
If you are in the middle of a long road trip and it starts to act up, the last thing you want to do is pull over to the side of the road and reboot the thing.
I've seen it reboot itself while going down the road, so clearly there's nothing critical being controlled by it.

LOL! I have had to do the same thing! So annoying! Make it where the car has to be in park to reboot, but please add reset option!
Didn't know that was the process for restarting. I'm having problems with the directions disconnecting and not working.

Not comfortable with rebooting going down the road....... Too much stuff is run by the computer to be rebooting while moving...... JMHO...
