Power Generation

By Tim D.

Over the past few years I have worked a lot in the electronics industry, and well one thing that came to my mind was the thought of essentially mounting a wind turbine inside the grill area of a vehicle. on a regular gas vehicle this really wouldn't have much affect, but say for an electric/hybrid vehicle while your driving down the road at say 70 mph i would assume this could create some additional boost to help maintain the electrical charge of the battery. Who knows, maybe your staff of engineering brilliance has already incorporated this into the new cars, but if not I certainly want to see Ford be first to make profit and keep the money in the USA!

From a 2000 5.0 Explorer driver, who wishes there was a way to stop corrosion because that is the only thing that's going to stop the superb reliability of this truck! 170,000 miles of excellent craftsmanship! Hope my idea may help! -Tim D!

Dale, All adding a wind turbine would do is add wind resistance to the car making it burn more gas to move through the air. To increase mileage you want to reduce the wind resistance of the car
