Glass/Acrylic plate on dashboard for GPS mounting

By Andy V.

Portable GPS systems (Garmin, TomTom, Magellan, etc) work best mounted to the dashboard via a suction cup. Usually, a small plastic, glass, or acrylic disc is included with the GPS unit, and has to be affixed to the dashboard via a mounting tape so the cup has something to attach to.

Instead, it would be great if the dashboard itself had a built in piece of glass or acrylic so you could just put the suction cup directly on without the mounting disk. The peice would not have to be large, just enough for a suction cup, and could even fit in with much of Ford's new trendy/edgy design cues.
