Carry ability for compact car

By John J.

There are many families that can only afford one car.  When it comes to carrying an awkward package (sofa, plywood ect) They would require a truck.  I think that a compact car could have sleeves (one at each corner) welded to the frame and concealed with plugs that could be removed when needed.  An optional aluminum colapsable frame could be assembled and secured into the sleeves.  It would be the entire length of the vehicle and could be stowed in the garage.  When installed over the car it would allow large objects to be carried from the store to home.  When carring the load it would require that no passengers are carried so as not to exceed the weight capacity of the vehicle.
