With a customer-centric redesign that boasts many new features, the 2020 F-Series Super Duty® is a blend of power, towing capacity, and smart technology.
A Ford-designed and Ford-built all-new 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine is now available in addition to the standard 6.2-liter V8. In addition, a third-generation 6.7-liter Power Stroke® Diesel V8 is also available.
An all-new 10-speed heavy-duty TorqShift® automatic transmission is standard in all 2020 Super Duty trucks. The 10-speed features a wider gear ratio span than the 6-speed and is designed for the harshest towing conditions. This electronically controlled transmission has selectable drive modes that include normal, tow/haul, eco, slippery, and deep sand and snow.
The 2020 Super Duty also has available exclusive Pro Trailer Backup Assist™, helping drivers back trailers into tight spaces. With hands off the steering wheel, drivers use the Pro Trailer Backup Assist knob to easily steer the trailer via the Rear View Camera. The truck’s Trailer Reverse Guidance system shows trailer angle and direction and provides steering suggestions to most efficiently direct a trailer backward. Both systems are built to accommodate all trailer styles, including fifth-wheel and gooseneck trailers.1
To keep drivers connected with the job site or home, every 2020 Super Duty has a FordPass Connect™ embedded 4G LTE modem with Wi-Fi access for up to 10 devices. There’s even wireless charging and USB-C ports to power those devices. Optional driver-assist features such as lane-keeping alert, BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System), Pre-Collision Assist are also available.
The exterior of the 2020 F-Series Super Duty was reimagined for improved performance. A new front-end design includes a new grill for all Super Duty trucks, and Power Stroke dual-rear wheel models will feature a high-airflow grill, bumper and air dam for optimized cooling. The LED headlamps have a new look with improved lighting performance, while high-series trim lines feature signature lighting. A freshened tailgate design, revised taillamps and new rear bumper convey bolder Built Ford Tough® style.
On the interior, available luxury details make this pickup stylish. The LARIAT has decorative a appliqué on the door and media bin door. Platinum edition trucks have Onyx Argento wood. The Limited model has a modern color scheme in Ebony and Highland Tan, genuine leather, black ash wood and sleek black brushed aluminum. It also has decorative stitching on the leather-wrapped instrument panel topper, wrapped door armrests, seating and center console lip and embroidered Super Duty logos on the floor mats. Even the headliner is finished with cashmere, giving the interior a spacious and high-end look and feel.
But what always makes the F-Series Super Duty stand out is its performance in tests and on the road. This new series is the most-tested pickup in our history, making it ready for anything the weather, the job site or life can throw at it.
