"Best Design" Rules
Two “Best Design” trophies will be awarded at each Girls’ Fast Track Races event. One trophy will be awarded to a Brownie Girl Scout participant and one will be awarded to a Junior Girl Scout participant.
Ford Motor Company representatives will act as judges to review each car that has passed inspection at the Girls’ Fast Track Races event.
To be eligible, car must be created by the participating Girl Scout with adult supervision. The Girl Scout must be a registered member of a troop that is part of one of the following councils:
Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta
Girl Scouts of Colorado
Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago & Northwest Indiana
Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas
Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey
Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio
Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan
Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida
Car must be entered by either a Brownie or Junior Girl Scout for the 2017-2018 academic year.
The judges will judge the cars based equally on the following criteria: (a) Workmanship (50%), and (b) Creativity (50%). The cars judged the highest on the foregoing will be declared the winning cars (one winning Brownie entry and one winning Junior entry at each Ford Girls’ Fast Track Races event). The final determination of the winners and the application of the judging criteria shall be in the sole and absolute discretion of the judges. In the event of a tie, the winning entry will be based on Use of Color. All judging assessments will be strictly confidential. No other information regarding winners or judging, other than as otherwise set forth herein will be disclosed. Judges’ and Ford’s decisions relating to each Ford Girls’ Fast Track Races event are final and binding.
There will be one winning Brownie entry and one winning Junior entry at each Girls’ Fast Track Races event.
As this is a subjective assessment of design, the winners will be selected based on the experience and expertise of the Ford Motor Company representatives. The decision of the judges is final and not subject to appeal.
