Ford High School Science and Technology Program (HSSTP)
Venturing Through the Greater World of Science and Tech
Can you really use what you learn in school? The Ford High School Science and Technology Program (HSSTP) helps high-school students answer that question by exposing them to real STEAM careers.

Student participants gain valuable insights into real-life applications of the skills learned in classrooms. For over 30 years, the program has given students the opportunity to spend time on the Ford campus in Dearborn, while meeting with scientists, engineers and technicians to see how science and engineering can have real-world applications. About 200 students each year attend Saturday-morning presentations by Ford employees who volunteer their time.

The program gives Ford a chance to promote science and engineering, plus reach out to students to encourage them to consider new career options.
