My husband, and 4 year old son were in a MAJOR car accident, and if it wasn’t for the durability and solidness of my husband’s F250 truck (which was his pride and joy), I am most certain they would have not survived! My husband had just completed a 14 hour night shift at work, picked up our son early from pre-school and headed home. While driving home, my husband fell asleep at the wheel which caused him to accelerate, hit a concrete barrier in the center divider of the fwy, causing the driver side tire to sheer off, which then caused the truck to catapult into the air, roll-over twice, and ultimately end up on the passenger side about 45 feet from the original impact site. When I arrived at the accident site I expected the worse, however my husband was walking around with no visible scraps or bruises (even though he ended up in the passenger seat), and my son had a visible injury to his hand, due to it being pinned under the truck when it landed on its side. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t look at my son’s hand, and thank god they were in that Ford! I am confident if they were in any other vehicle they would have been critically injured or resulted in a fatality. I can now personally vouch that Fords are “Built Ford Tough”!
