Breaking 300,000 Miles
MAR
04

I was given a 2002 Ford F-250 (Triton V-8) from my stepdad when he upgraded to an F-350.  When I got the truck it had 187,000 miles.  He had never had any problems with the truck even after working it to the max (sometimes to the point of abuse).  After driving the truck for a short time we hit 200,000 and the fuel pump promptly went out.  I figured a fuel pump after that many miles wasn’t too bad but feared it may be a sign of things to come.  That was a hundred thousand miles ago and we are still going strong.  In spite of the fact we are towing horses every week and driving it daily, it doesn’t use any oil, starts every time, still gets a consistent 17mpg on longer trips and is up to every task!…. talk about Ford tough.
