I have been driving Fords for many years, with the first being a used 1961 Fairlane 500. With a farm and business, many of these have been trucks. In 2002, I sold a 1992 F-150 XLT Lariat with 240,000 miles and bought a Ranger EDGE. The 1992 was an excellent truck as is the 2002, but with better gas mileage. The Ranger is easier to park in town where I work and shop and I don’t miss the extra capacity in the truck bed as I bought a trailer for extra big loads. The EDGE currently has 140,000 miles on it and uses no oil. I expect it had it for at least another 10 years. I guess we qualify as a Ford family as both sons and the daughter also drive Rangers and my wife is on her third Taurus, also a 2002.
Thanks, Ford, we love these trucks!

Brett Aldred Rangers don't burn up or need any oil hardly at all!!!!! One of our family friends has a 2004 Ranger with a little over 200,000 miles and has changed the oil twice..he just keeps pouring some in every now and then.
