Dependable

I bought a Ford Ranger back in 2000 and I’m still driving it. It has been one of the most dependable vehicles I’ve ever owned. The thing that impresses me, I have the original battery. After 11 winters here in Michigan, the battery is still going strong. I have never known a battery to last that long. I also have the original exhaust system, muffler and all. A muffler to last 11 years??? Ford must be going the extra mile to make things last longer on their vehicles. I’ve always kept my vehicles in tip top shape and as you can see from the photo, this Ranger still looks new, no rust and still shines when I wax it. Even if I was to buy a new vehicle today, I would not trade this Ranger in, it’s a real trouper…..

Many new cars have large LCD screens in the dash now...why not add some software so you can run the car through the full battery of OBD2 diagnostics and readouts right from the dash without the need for a separate scanner. The OBD2 port would still be available, but would essentially be unneeded.
