In 2000 I retired as a Educator/coach after 32 years in Greensburg,Indiana. My wife and I decided to tour Our great land and spend our winters in a warmer climate. After purchasing a new Designer fifth wheel,we needed a reliable tow vehicle. Being a Ford owner and fan ,I chose after the insistence, positive experience, and recommendations of several local Ford owners, a new 2001 Ford F-350 superCab 7.3 cu in PowerStoke diesel. After over eleven years and 125,000 miles of trouble free towing ,the reliable Ford F-350 has outlived two RY’s , and is ready for another new fifthwheel to tow! This incredibly reliable, dependable, and powerful Ford F-350 powerstroke diesel has proven and continues to prove the universially accepted truth that Ford builds”Tough Trucks”.We are so glad we chose the World’s most popular, best selling(for over 34 straight years!) ,and toughest truck for our retirement towing job! We have enjoyed our positive Ford experience after over eleven years and 125k miles of tough towing. Our trusty Ford F-350 has proven many times over why Ford builds the “Toughest” trucks, and why more people rely on Fords making them the best selling truck–The Best Never Rests-Drive One!

What I think would be cool is if my Fence Company had all electric trucks. The amount of money I would save would be ridiculous on gasoline. My costs go down that much, so would my prices. Which would put me and my crew to work even more. Maybe even add a new crew. I save, you save, we save, the environment saves, everyone saves. Its a win win idea. I know the technology is there now, there's just not enough people on the idea yet. The first auto company that could do this for contractors, and make it affordable, would be huge. Kind of like McDonalds uses their own fry grease to drive their whole fleet of semi's. Cool stuff. Could be why they're cheaper, more popular, and are busier than everyone else. Even in a down economy people need to eat. The one's that can still provide that and keep their overhead down will stay in business, the ones that cant, well you know. Some of this technology is out there now but, its not advertised as good as it should be either. Yeah we all want a hot rod but, I watched an all electric car at the salt flats smoke everything else out there.... Not a hybrid either. That just says we're still not ready to get rid of gasoline. It's called a fossil fuel for a reason. I think it's time we moved on. Even in an all electric world there will still be a need for oil. Those guys just dont want to take the back seat, or even the middle. If they were riding in my truck, I'd kick them out....just saying, I think there needs to be more emphasis on all electric. And cater one all electric for the hot rod enthusiasts. I seem to remember a story about the first logging trucks way back in the day being all electric because the ICE was too inefficient, it lacked horsepower. All the other lacked was battery technology. The ICE is cold, haha.:) (the ICE, is the Internal Combustion Engine, for anyone who may not know).
