Thanks To Ford I Still Have My Son

I own a 2006 Ford F-150 XLT Laureate crew cab truck with 89,000 miles. This is by far the nicest truck I have ever owned. I was recently looking at trading trucks for a newer one with less miles but was unable to for financial reasons. Because of this truck I will never have another one that does not have the backup assist. About a month ago I was getting ready to leave and my youngest son was sitting in his booster seat and buckled in and my 10 year old was in the seat behind me, and was talking to me. I heard his door close and I put the truck in reverse. The backup assist was activated so I put the truck back into park and got out figuring the children had left something like a toy or bike behind the truck. I walked behind the the truck and nothing was there. I get back into the truck and my 10 year old says “dad did the alarm go off?” (He is now sitting on the passenger side of the truck). I said yes son did you not hear it? He said NO I WAS BEHIND THE TRUCK. I wanted to sit on the other side. This scared me half to death and had it not been for the safety equipment on this Ford truck I would not have my precious 10 year old son. For this I cannot thank you enough for providing this safest truck on the market.
