One Impressive Truck
NOV
08

I recently sold my first car, a dearly loved 1999 Volkswagen Passat, and purchased a 2011 XLT Supercrew F-150. Automobiles have been a passion of mine since I can remember and for a company to impress me is a feat. This truck is one of those rare cases where I have been astonished by an automobile.

When looking for a truck, I did not even bother looking at the competitors. I spent hours online and found no reason to look at the competition; once I saw the F-150 in person and researched the “One Ford” plan, I knew I would buy one. Everything about this truck is supreme. The styling, ride, power, payload, towing, comfort, accessories, and pretty much everything else is superb. For a gift, I recieved a badly damaged 1985 Chris Craft Scorpion 230 SL Limited. After fixing it up, I needed a tow vehicle. This truck pulled the boat like nothing and looked great while doing it!

What really blew-me-away was the handling in poor weather. I was in the freak October snow storm that pounded Massachusetts the end of October, 2011 While out, I had no issues driving through anything, never lost traction for a second, and experienced zero wheel spin. This was all without snow tires! I have driven European cars and trucks designed for snow driving with snow tires, and never felt as safe and in control as I did in my F-150. I have never been happier or felt as confident driving a vehicle as I have in this F-150. Way to go Ford, you gained a life-long customer.

Within the current markets its unrealized the potential of a turbo charger being utilized as a source of energy to turn an electric generator to repower the batteries of potential cars and sub systems within vehicle control systems. This could greatly increase efficiency as well as power of the overall vehicle.
