My story is about my 1977 f150..As a farm mananger on a large horse farm, there were many nights that i would have to go to the mares barn during foaling season to check the mares.
i never had to go alone because i had a rotti/dobi mixed dog..that went every where that truck went,he was great company when it came to night time checks..
He never failed me when it came to riding….sometimes we would sit in the truck and wait for a mare that was close to her time,he waited with patience and love of knowing that he was with me, that truck was going to go again..you could never stack hay or feed to high that he couldn’t climb to the top to ride,he also was able to open the sliding back window, get in the seat and wait for the next ride.
I had to go out of town,he never got out of the back of the truck,my friend had to feed and watered him in the backof the truck,…she asked why he wouldnt get out of the truck..i told her he was having a withdraws..a love of riding withdraws,my friend asked me to teach her to drive a stick so he never has to have withdraws again if i had to leave town!.That my love story of our FORD F150…..i now have a 2007 ford mustang convertible which i know he would love to ride in with the wind in his face! RIP ROCK!
