I’m 19 and this is my second Ford truck.
My 2000 F150 has 187,000 on it, It has the 5.4L V8, and 4×4. What can this truck not do? It hauls trailers and our 18 foot boat (even through the mountains of Canada!), building supplies, cord wood, straw, livestock, scrap metal, goes off roading, pulls free stuck vehicles and jumps cars, pulls down trees and stumps, all while returning great fuel economy! I’ve gotten as high as 20 mpg (which included some boat hauling!) It has been through a lot, and “over pay-loaded” many times. At a time where other trucks would be calling it quits, the Ford is ready for much more, it is entering its first season of snowplowing! I do not have to worry if this truck can make it to the job site when the snow is falling. The 5.4 is a powerful engine, my truck has needed no major mechanical repairs other than expected maintenance. if you treat it well, and upkeep it, these Fords will work hard for you.
