My First Ford Is My Best Truck
APR
09

I’ve now owned my F-150 FX4 for just over a year and I couldn’t be happier with it. I’ve always been a GM guy, but after a lot of research and comparison, I concluded that Ford had the things I needed on a truck. It was one of the best decisions I ever made.
At first I wasn’t sure I wanted all the bells and whistles that came on the FX4. I didn’t think I wanted heated leather seats, but my butt sure appreciated them in the winter. All I knew was I wanted a crew cab, 4 wheel drive, an integrated trailer brake controller and skid plates. I haven’t found anything to complain about on my Ford.
Over the past year, I’ve pulled horse trailers and driven through blowing snow and drifts that left the roadside littered with abandoned SUVs. I’ve picked up visiting dignitaries who have remarked on the comfort and ride and elegance of my F-150. I’ve hauled building materials, loads of dirt, hay, feed and of course, I’ve helped friends move furniture. My Ford is the perfect combination of stunning good looks, a hard worker, and impeccable manners — sort of like its driver. harharhar
I’m proud to drive my Ford and I appreciate the work the folks in Dearborn put in on this truck. In fact, I appreciate it so much, I refuse to take the sticker off that shows everyone that my truck was built in Dearborn.

The first classic Bronco is still a huge factor in the automotive restoration world. Used Broncos from 1966 through 78 are worth small fortunes. Bring back that basic style, removable top, similar to the concept that came and went about 4 years ago at the NAIA Show in Detroit. There is a viable market for that style Bronco. Some retro could still be incorporated with a good Ecoboost 4 cylinder. Make it a Jeep competitor and you have a winner. Give it some Raptor graphics and suspension with anti rollover technology. How many times have you heard this.?
