My F150
SEP
20

Back in 2006 we bought an F150, to replace our ‘99 Chevy Silverado.

Going into the dealership, at 11 years old, I was a massive Chevy kid. Chevy everything, I fought my parents over buying a Ford. We had just bought a 2006 Escape to replace our Pontiac and I was furious already because of that. But the day we went back to pick up our escape, my life was changed forever.

We ended up staying at the dealership late, and talking and we were convinced to buy a F150, I was mad AGAIN. But long story short…. 6 Years old, 120,000 miles and still runs way better then ANY truck I have ever driven (personally) smooth ride, best payload capacity, tows like none other. Truly changed my outlook on life. Thank you Ford! :)

There's no "marketing" in the drop-down menu, so I chose "convenience" somewhat arbitrarily.  I'm a long-time Ford fan, and so I like to see Ford succeed.  When I visit a Ford dealer's parts department, I'm itching to buy something for my Fords (usually Mustangs).  Outside of license plate frames and T-shirts, there's not much.  Why not floor mats, decals, shift nobs, seat covers?  Make it a profit center.  Maybe more sophisticated items that the dealer could install?  Wheels, catback exhaust, running boards, etc.  They needn't all be on stock (but as many as possible).  Maybe there could be a glossy Ford Accessories catalogue in store, with convenient ordering.  It could be like visiting a Auto Zone, only everything would be Ford, Mustang, Shelby, F150, Fiesta, Focus (etc.) oriented (and branded).  I'd have a hard time resisting Ford brand aftermarket products.  I think this would make a ton of money based on impulse buying, and it would be a place I would want to visit over and over.
