That is all I hear my husband say in a huff.
With a family of six, he is actually correct. My husband is a dedicated father and loving husband who always puts us first. He is a teddy bear of six feet and some couple hundred pounds (he is so going to get me). Comfort and safety is of the utmost importance to the king of our castle who must travel from customer to customer in his vehicle. Our trusted Toyota had let us walk away from four car accidents unscathed. As Sandy (the van) was worse for wear, it was time to start shopping. We went to Nissan; there was no head clearance for hubby. We test drove three Toyota vehicles and were sorely disappointed. Ford commercials were running one night and we thought, “why not?”
From the moment we stepped onto the lot, we experienced a standard of service and product line acumen that was impressive. And once little ol’ me got behind the wheel of a truck I was hooked.
I loved being high off the ground and the power pulling us forward excited me!
It was a toss up between purchasing a 2011 Explorer and the 2011 Ford F-150 Super Crew.
We had to think about it.
Out of the blue on our oldest daughter’s birthday, my husband called me at work.
He explained to me over the phone he was at a dealership and the salesperson had run down the numbers for the Explorer and the truck. He asked me what he should do.
Thrilled for him and knowing what he really wanted for himself, deep down inside, I answered.
“Are you crazy? Get the truck!!!”
Daddy’s happy, what more can I want?
Well…we started looking at the new Edge for Mommy.
But that is a story for another day.
