My husband (at the time boyfriend) bought a new 1987 ious Ford F-150 2 wl drive. Along the years .we married, had children, bought house etc. my husband used his truck for varjobs, construction, siding , landscaping among others. He had great luck with his truck. In1996 he opened his own sign business, still driving the samme truck. Being a sign man he has hauled everything from neon to signs weighing hundreds of pounds. He maintained this truck himself thyears, replaced clutches, did brake jobs, nothing really major. The only real problem was part of the driver floor rusted thru (after 20 yrs!), and you could see the road. My children were growing older embarrassed by the old truck with the hole in the floor, named the truck The Flinstone Truck. We’d tease our kids and tell them when they got their driving licenses, this would be their first vehicle. They said they’d rather take the bus than a 20 tr old pick-up. They didn’t have to worry, my husband wasn’t giving up! Well 25 years later The Flintstone Truck is no longer on the road. But the most important part is this truck has 600,000 plus miles on it’s original motor!!! Now that’s getting our money’s worth! The truck sit’s in our back yard still, it seems my husband can’t let it go! Thanks Ford for such a dependable truck.
Sincerely,
Gail Cyri
