thegeoengineer nice. The ratings take into account a factor of safety. It's not that the truck cannot handle more than 11,300-- but rather that to maintain sufficient minimal liability, Ford has decided to rate the trucks at a factor below thier true max loads.

C. Whitehurst I too have F150 Ecoboost with the 3.55 rearend. Its rated at 9300lbs towing. Your 3.73 is rated at 11300lbs. I am glad you are so happy with your truck. I hope the wt. you posted as towing was a mistake. You could be in for trouble if not . 12000lbs is over the limit.

Luke Ray I don't get how you're pulling a 12k# trailer with a truck rated at 11,300? I have almost that exact same truck (FX4) and it is a BEAST when it comes to pulling. Absolutely amazing.

michael Ford ROCKS! Even my 2007 Ford Ranger hauled 8000 pounds of granite on a 16 foot flat deck trailer once. On a 3.0 litre V6. I don't see any other small trucks doing that. Bit crazy but I had to get it home somehow. LOL

Samuel Williams (LOL) I also hate the dodge , gm and toyota boys talk about how fast their trucks are to Ford trucks . I told them to listen at Ford commercials they never said anything about how fast there trucks are they tell you you can work the hell out of them hauling and towing with good fuel mileage as if they were empty . I also told them fast trucks do not tow good as my friend across the street who traded his Ford for a toyota and regret it everyday he said runs strong empty and not pulling a trailer . I ask why and he told me that it has heavy fuel consumption and struggles towing just like gm and dodge do . I told them the F-150 Lightning was our speed work truck and still today is a truck to be delt with ask all the guys with a hemi . it took dodge a V-10 to out run a 331 V-8 by .4 in a 1/4 mile now thats nothing to bragg about now humiliation yes they should be .

Caden Hess Amen! anyone can build a body and put someone elses engine in it! and the only reason the dodge never did anything in that commercial is because it probably burned the transmission up and couldnt move anyways. Until Dodge and Chevy build their own engines they can step aside!

Samuel Williams Did you see the dodge commercial when the Super Duty F- 350 met the dodge ram in the western streets for a show down ? I told the dodge boys if the ram 3500 is going to challenge the Ford Super duty in a show down then the ram did good by bringing help . I do not know why dodge and gm bragg about their diesel trucks and all they did is supply the body they did not build their engines or transmission lets see a rock and a goat I never seen a living rock or a smart goat .

Samuel Williams Thats why when you want a hard working dependable truck you buy a FORD and if you want a generic truck to haul yard debris and grocery something that do not need power you buy the off brand.
