Drucilla The Immortal
JUL
12

my very fist vehicle is my girl Drucilla, she is a 1970 ford f100 ranger xlt
360 fe big block v8
c6 3 speed automatic
9″ posi-trac axel
after a hard life of hauling hay with a tail spike on a ranch and then as a painters work truck she found herself on jack stands in a drive way abandoned for dead. with 392k on the original engine and transmission no one thought that there was any sense in trying to fix her. except for a stubborn 13 year old boy…me. i bought her for $500 and after many sleepless nights, summer jobs and lots of blood, sweat and tears. here she sits 405,000 miles and still kicking butt with her original engine and transmission, never rebuilt! no smoking , knocking, pinging or other funny noises. i hope that she can hold out to the million mile mark!
her favorite foods are: HD 40W, 87 octane and Goodyear wrangler radials.

Wyatt D Thats almost like my old 1969 F-250 only thing is Ive got a 390 but with the C6 tranny, up in the hills just dont cutted and i was afraid of throwing a rod out the side of the block so I rebuilt the motor. It has ruffly 269,000 miles on it , but never smoked, hardly leaked and never sputtered just tired.

Shirley What a fantastic story! I know Ford blue courses through your veins and she is the center of your universe...Ford Motor Company should send you a job offer since you eat, sleep and breath FORD.
