Driving Home From Work...

3/6/2011 – My wife Lisa was driving home from work. Two vehicles approched her heading northbound. The 2nd vehicle decided to pass the first one and veered into the oncoming lane. My wife was already there and had just enough time to hit the brakes. Both vehicles hit head on doing 45 mph. My wife was driving our 2008 Ford F-150 60th Anniversary Edition and the oncoming vehicle was an Oldsmobile Alero. Except for a broken leg, my wife walked away. The other occupants of the Alero had more extensive injuries but are expected to survive. Emergency personnel and others commented that if my wife would have been driving anything else, it could have been much worse. When I went to collect our belongings out of the truck the next day, I gave it a pat on the hood and said Thank You for looking after her. I sincerly believe angels were riding with her and they have the Blue Oval as a halo! Thank you to Roberts Ford of Alton, IL for selling us the truck. We will be back as soon as she is able to drive again to replace the truck with a new one!
