Best Truck I Have Ever Owned
I bought a new 1988 Ford Lariat with the 4.9 straight 6 engine. Best truck I have ever owned. Still running today with 216,000 plus miles on it. Doesn’t use or burn oil. These motors are bullet proof. Pulled a 3500 lb. ski boat for years, hauled many loads of firewood. Have really put this truck to the test. If Ford still made the 4.9 motor I’d buy another in a heart beat. Best quality out there for the money.

For the new F-150s, can we get an option for an I-6 with 3 or 4 valves per cylender? Possibly DOHC? With Ecoboost? Or the option of a diesil, like the 4.5 liter V6 in the LCF trucks? Just some thoughts.
