Almost 300,000 Miles And Still Runs Fine!

I bought my 1999 regular cab F-150 in September of ‘98 from Galpin Ford. I was looking for one with a v8 and stick shift, and they had several. Since then I have driven all over California, Nevada, and Arizona. I have moved myself from home to home as well as some of my friends and family. I have towed a boat, camper trailers, U-hauls, horse trailers, loaded car dolly’s, and a couple of over loaded 16 foot tandem axle trailers up Cajon Pass on my way too Arizona! I currently have 297,000 miles on the odometer and counting. I have done nothing to it but routine maintenance and a couple slave cylinders. My goal is to see it running at 400,000 miles.

Cordell C I have a 1997 F-150 lariat, 4.6L Triton I bought used from a dealer, forget the mileage on it at that time, it still had drivetrain warranty and the transmission was replaced not long after I had it. I currently am about 500 miles away from the 300k mark and I would also like to get a few hundred k more out of it. Their saying is right when they say Built Ford Tough!!
