A Special "Thank You!" To The Entire Ford Family

.On September 30th of this year I was involved in an notor vehicle collision where I was “T-Boned” by a 2000 Ford F150 at a known dangerous intersection. I was driving a new 2010 Ford Fusion, recently purchased by my employer, the State of NH Department. of Transportation. The F150 was estimated at traveling 50mph and did not brake before the impact. The Ford Fusion that I was driving was struck on the driver’s side, smashing out both windows and deploying the side curtain airbags. My head struck the side window very hard, but it did not hurt, and still doesn’t hurt 2 week later. I suffered no cuts or abrasions, only a slightly fractured rib where the armrest was driven into me slightly. I feel very fortunate to be alive. I was told by the State’s service manager that if not for the car’s advanced safety features, that I probably would have been gravely injured or killed. Thank you Ford for the outstanding engineering that you have put into the new Ford vehicles. I’m living proof. I own a 2005 Honda Civic, but I’m extremely nervous driving without side airbags. My next car is going to be a new Ford Fusion. I can’t express my gratitude enough to your engineers. Thank you Ford Family.
