7 Dodges Ago... 1 Ford Now

I had alsway been a die hard Dodge Ram fan, in fact I have owned 6 of the and one Dakota, and 4 of my 6 Rams were purchased brand new with in the last 6 years. Anyways, Im a service manager with a company called VIP Parts, Tires, Service in Lewiston, Me, and I have noticed and kept track of what comes in for service, what vehicles have the most issues and what to encourage customers to buy and what not to buy. Ive been with my company now for over 3 years and have noticed a trend… Newer Fords have been bullit proof! They never need anything! Very rarely we need to do some mechanical work to a ford product, its mostly the GM trucks and the Dodges, to this helped my decision in bying Ford. I had a 2011 Ram 2500 Power Wagon, quite possibly the most meanest truck Dodge has ever made with nothing but issues and the dealers and corperate dodge had given me a run around about what was warrantied and what was not. My truck had developed a strange engine noise since about 2k on the ODO, and the transmission around 10k started really delaying when under loads on hills, and Dodge did everything they can to not want to help me out, so out of frustration I gave up on my life long truck brand and made the switch, and will never look back! My new 2011 lariat F150 is 10x the truck any one of my dodges were, more fuel effecient, town better and honestly the quality is exceptional. Chrysler lost a customer, and Ford has gained one for life.

Joseph Senko i had a Dodge Power Wagon in 75. that was my first truck. but i purchased my first Ranger in 97, it had a 3.0, 4x2 and can work. my second Ranger was a 4.0 club cab, 4x4 off road. this can go thru snow without a hitch. now looking for another small truck, but they still use the 4.0. i was informed earlier they (Ford) plans to end the Ranger. thats too bad. it could use the the EcoBoost V6.
