1999 F-150 Hits 300,000 Miles
FEB
24

Hi Guys,
I just wanted to let you know that my 1999 Ford F-150 hit 300,000 miles a few months ago. It’s actually just over 316,000 right now ans still going strong. Same engine and never had a problem with it. I use it for work, hunting, and everything you can think of. When I hit 200,000, people would ask me, “When you going to get a new one?” I told people that I’d like to get 250k out of it. Well at 250k people asked me what kind of truck I was going to get next and I said, “I think I’ll keep driving this one until maybe about 275k and then get a new one. Well, people quit asking me after a while. I mean when your truck still runs like a dream, why get something new. When I hit 300k, though said to myself, I’m going to get a new truck when I get to 350,000. Well, I’m at 316,000 right now and 350 doesn’t seem like much of a stretch. I bet I can get to 400k. Regardless, I want you to know two things: 1) You made a heck of a truck, and I’ve got my money’s worth. 2) When I do get around to buying another pick-up, you can be damn sure it will be a Ford. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Dave Lyons You can't beat a Ford vehicle. I saw on eBay, a listing for a mid 90's Lincoln Town Car, with...no lie... over 600,000 miles. The car was absolutely stunningly gorgeous. All original interior, just flawless. Also, check out www.millionmilevan.com. This 1997 E Series Van has 1,172,000 miles on it. And it's all documented to prove it's true... That is Quality. That is Ford.

brad smith i have a 99 with 110,000, it runs great. After reading your story it looks like i've got 20 years left in this one. The key to this longevity is maintenance pure and simple, take care of your Ford and it will take care of you, these trucks are manufactured with quality materials, thats the Ford difference.

The F-150 is too big, the Ranger too small, how about an F-100 that would be just right?
