Ford Makes The Greatest Trucks. This Van Doesn't Quit.
MAY
14

I am an electrical contractor and i travel all over. this van was the best thing I’ve ever bought in my life. It is the 4.6 V8. it doesn’t stop. I got the van new, now it has 291,000.
The best part is I’ve only put one wheel bearing on the truck. Besides brakes, oil and tires.
Has original motors and trans. never had a rebuild. The van is a work horse and doesn’t stop. i think it has plenty of life left in it to.i am excited to be breaking 300,000. I think the 4.6 v8 is one of the most reliable motors ever to be built ever. i also have an 2002 ford f-150 4.2 v6s. best pick up i’ve ever owned. i hope maybe i can get a t-shirt or something from this story:) anything that says ford would be great haha. Ford makes the best work trucks, there is no competition.

Jeffrey LeFevre I hear ya! I'm a tile contractor and like you, I drive all over. My 1993 E-250 just broke 300,000 and is still mechanically sound - looks good, too! Keep on truckin, bro! I'm curious to see how far these trucks will go...

How about a Hybrid 50th Aniversary Mustang that's about 1000 pounds lighter, and looks like a love child of the current car and an Aston Martin DBS -- it's not hard to imagine with the way the stying is going with the current Fusion. Then use the elecric motor as a dual use item: Use it as part of a plug-in hybrid, AND as a POWER ADDER... Honda did it with the hybrid Accord -- and Porsche is doing it with the 918 Spyder. Make this available as a performance upgrade at all levels -- from the ecoboost 4 to the 5.0. It would be like the Mad Max Interceptor -- but instead of having an electric roots blower, why not just have the electric motor be the power adder? With Mad Max 4 planned, there has to be a marketing opportunity there somewhere...
