If the corporate heads at Ford Motor Company decide to allow the F-100/code name P525 to be manufactured and offered for purchase when the next generation of Ford trucks come out in 2014, I would appreciate it if Ford Motor Company would consider the following if the F-100 pickup truck is available for purchase in 2014:
- The F-100 comes with the same features and options offered on the F-150
- The F-100 comes in a Regular Cab, Super Cab, and Super Crew Cab model
- The F-100 comes with 4 x 4 capability
- A F-100 "Sport" Model is offered which has sport tuned quad exhaust and an
engine with output (20) horsepower greater than the basic engine offered in the
truck
- More of a selection of exterior colors you can get the truck in and more dark solid
colors offered (i.e. Chocolate Brown, Dark Gold, Crimson Red, Charcoal Gray)
- A more futuristic and aerodynamic designed front grille area, newly designed
headlamps, and special designed placement of the headlamp compartment
(The truck looks like it came out of the future and not from its long past)
In regards to the winch system to access the spare tire underneath the truck, for the next generation of Ford trucks, why don't Ford Motor Company do away with the winch system and make a spare tire compartment underneath the floor level of the cargo bed. On the cargo bed floor over this spare tire compartment, make a hatch door
that can be opened to gain access to the spare tire. A key lock or latch lock operated by a key can be built into the hatch door. A rubber cover piece can be made to fit snug
over the key opening to protect the keyhole from moister and the weather. This hatch door is part of the cargo bed floor. Because of the ground clearance of a 4x 4 pickup truck, someone can crawl underneath the truck and tamper with the winch system and disable a winch lock. Now, if the tire is enclosed inside a metal compartment underneath the truck, you don't have the key to open the hatch door in the cargo bed floor to gain access to the spare tire, and for extra protection you have a fiber glass cargo bed cover, no theft of spare tire can possibly happen. This is a feature or option that a truck buyer would definitely be interested in. Thank you
