I bought this truck new in 1995 and use it everyday. From plowing to hauling enclosed trailers to picking up palletized materials it never lets me down. I Have even gotten as good as 25 mpg on long highway runs which I do regularly. The 7.3 DIT is probably the best engine ever and I would buy another if i could! All my other Fords have done just as well and many have over 200,000 miles on them.

If my new 2012 F-350 does half of what this truck did I will be happy!

The incoming 2013 Fusion looks amazing but I think it could use some more attention in the powertrain department. A ST model could be equipped with turbocharged 2.5l I-4 which is already the base model engine. This level of performance would most directly compete with the 274hp Sonata and Optima. A SHO model equipped with the 3.5l ecoboost (and upgraded with Variable Valve Timing) could easily be in the 400+hp range and compete with Audi S4, BMW M3 and the new Cadillac ATS-V. Fusion is the new flagship car for Ford, it will already have outstanding fuel economy, so why not make a Fusion performance model a force to be reckoned with?
