Subject: 1968 Ford Ranger F-100

Sirs: This is my 1968 Ford Ranger that I ordered new, it has a 390 v-8, automatic transmission, PS, PB and A/C, Ragoon Red. I have owned it for 43 years. It’s original except for the wheels and the new paint job in 1996. Motor and transmission never rebuilt. My Dad (who worked at Hapeville GA assembly plant for 30 years) told me when I took delivery that if I took care of it, “it would last a long time”. I did and it has! In 1998 I ordered a new Ford Lariat F150 5.4 v-8, Bright Red, std cab, short bed; now the Ranger only goes to car shows. But in 2004 I bought a brand new Thunderbird PCR (#229) which I have enjoyed now for 7 years. There’s nothing as cool as crusing the road with the top down in my PCR. Fords last !
