The Iron Horse - My Unbelieveable Ford Explorer

On July 19, 2002, I was given a company car (2000 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer) with 33,173 miles. It was the top of the line, all the bells and whistles and a dream to drive especially in Pennsylvania winters. Three years later, in 2005, I realized what a great car I had and bought it from the company. Now 8+ years later and the Iron Horse is still running like a top. It has 231,776 miles – it has never had a transmission, engine or drive train problem. Almost all of the parts are original. My friends and relatives can’t believe this car – it looks great, it drives great and I’m proud of it. I tell everyone what a great car Ford has built. I recently completed a 2,400+mile “college tour” trip with my son to New England. Many of my friends had doubts if the “Iron Horse” would make it without a breakdown. I never had a doubt – it was powerful on the mountains of Vermont and New Hampshire; it had great pick up in the traffic in Boston and Albany and handled the twists and turns over rough roads of New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island with ease.

Thank you Ford for building a car that looks great, drives great and is a source of pride. It is a tribute to your company, your engineering and your employees. Someday, I’d like to buy another new Ford because I know what I’ll get – Quality and Peace of Mind.
