On the new Explorer there are plastic panels on the sides of the windshields should be removed. These become loose and we have had one fly off on the highway. Ford has been great about replacing them, however, this is a serious safety issue for other drivers especially motorcycle riders. This use to be accomidated with a larger windshield and rubber seal and body frame of the vehicle.
