Explorer

Now that you have designed a new explorer I have a few ideas.

These are ideas from someone who takes driving seriously,

1. There is no need for bright accents on dashboard, especially on left and right sides, those accents reflect in the outside rearview mirror.

2. The speedometer should be in the middle of dashboard and run full, not be cut off by the gearshift indicator, I want clear and quick view of speed and eyes back on the road, marks are plenty up to 120, then use larger speed segments, no need for 160.

3. Backlight should be red or orange, not blue or any other color that causes glare.

4. Outside rearview mirrors should be large and full, not some fancy design.

Thanks
Joe

Your Ideas
I am 6'6" and I have been driving comfortably in my 1998 two door explorer for ten years now and I recently sat in the 2014 Explorer.  Despite being bulkier, I felt cramped in the driver seat and I wasn't impressed with the MPGs for the price.  Now when I look at mine I think how cool it would be if it had the rear opening door for the backseats, some new tech and a hybrid engine to get 40 MPGs.  I also think it should have low-e glass to keep out the sun's heat without needing dark tint that can block your vision.  I also like my current Explorer because it is a good height from the ground and has good lines of sight.
