On April 29, 2012 I was 2 miles from home, coming back from Marietta Oh. I rounded a banked curve, don’t know if I dozed off or what, but I looked up and there was no time to react, there was a telephone pole right there. I hit the pole, clipped it in two, and the landed into a tree head on. My only outward evidence of the crash was a puncture wound on my right knee where it hit the dash. I walked away with only that and 7 fractured ribs.
I am very lucky, and confident that if I had been in any vehicle but a Ford I would not have been so lucky. The durability, construction, and design of a Ford saved my life.
