On November 6, 2002 my day started just like any other day but @ 6:30am I had a car accident in my brand new Ford Expedition – it was only 4 months old but it saved my life!!! I had just dropped my son off at high school & was on my way home when I was t-boned on the drivers side of my vehicle by a double trailer gravel hauler that was fully loaded!! I was taken by “flight for life” to UMC trauma center in Las Vegas where I spent the next 10 days – the first 3 of them in a coma! The accident was 4 days before our first wedding anniversary. My husband & I had rented a motor home in the infield at Phoenix Int’l Raceway for our anniversary as we are both such HUGH Nascar fans & while we didn’t make it to PIR we did get to watch it together in ICU, it was glorious! I am & always will be forever grateful to FORD for making such a safe vehicle & saving my life!! You see, when the fire dept. & paramedics arrived I was found on the passenger side of the vehicle & had to be removed by the jaws of life. I remember when my husband & I purchased the vehicle from Team Ford in Las Vegas, NV that the sales person was so clear in poining out the many, many safety features of the vehicle & for that I COMMEND Ford for me being here 7 years later to write you this letter. After spending 3 months in bed it wasn’t until February of 2003 before I even had the nerve to get behind the wheel again. So once again my husband & I headed to Team Ford where we purchased a 1999 F250 crew cab so that not only myself but my family would feel safer when I was on the road. I recently had to sell my F250 but I husband are nw looking for an F350, it’s all very exciting!
I was raised a Ford girl & always will be – I am probably without a doubt one of your BIGGEST advocates and whenever anyone asks for my input on a vehicle “I say get a Ford” – they’re the safest!!!!!
Thnak you so much!
