Ford Saved My Life!!
DEC
07

At 9:30 a.m. on my way to work I was stopped at a red light when I was rear ended by a 1999 GMC 1500 pickup truck that was going in excess of 65 mph. The collision knocked me unconcious – had to be pried out of the SUV and transported to hospital. There I had to get 15 staples to my head and severe back trauma . But I truely beleive if I was not driving my Ford Expedition I would not be typing this today. See attached

We have been waiting for a turbo hot-hatch from Ford going on ten years, now. As a group, those of us who have been into small Fords for that time are VERY excited to see both the Focus and Fiesta make it here in ST guise (at last!). We do have one major concern, though. While several Blue Oval representatives and marketing executives have promised us a pair of "truly global" platforms in both, we are already seeing a trend back to the old ways of Ford marketing. We WANT a three-door offering in our small performance models! We understand that it is not practical to do so with the Focus (since the car is not available with three doors), but the 3-door Fiesta already exists across the pond! Probably the biggest slap to our collective face was the recent release of a production-ready 3-door Fiesta ST just before Geneva; quickly tailed by a cloud of "mights" and "maybes" about the car's availability in the U.S. even as a five-door. All we ask is that you give us the choice of a 3-door performance model. The SVT Focus was (and still is) a smash hit in both 3 and 5 door. Why not strike gold again? WE DON'T WANT TO BUY VOLKSWAGENS!!!
