2010 Taurus

Several people have stopped me in parking lots, gas stations and such to ask me “can I look at your car, I just love the new Taurus” . My husband and I experienced the same thing last year with the Ford Flex, which reinforces the fact that we are on the right track with the right products.

The latest fan however makes me smile the most. I was pulling out of the bakery and looked in my rearview mirror to see the recycling truck driver running down the street trying to flag me down. When I stopped he said thank you and said he just had to see the inside of the car. He loved the outside and wanted to see the inside. He went on to say he thought the (ambient) lighting was so cool. I told him the colors could be changed and he was more impressed. He spent a few minutes looking around the car, clearly impressed. He told me he drives a new Focus and was happy with that purchase. We talked a bit, he thanked me for my time, shook my hand and left with a smile on his face.

I have learned more about my vehcole by answering questions from the curious fans that have stopped me.

Bringing back older vehicles and styles has become hugely popular. I think "woody's" done tastefully would make a huge comeback and the Flex is perfect for it. There are aftermarket companies that already do this. So the market is there and Ford isn't capitalizing on it. I would absolutely own one if it was a woody.
