I finally got my dream car: a Black 2012 Mustang GT with the Brembo Package, 3.73 rear end, and the MT-82 manual 6-speed.

After the suggested break in period, I took my car to the local Drag Strip to see what it was made of. After an evening being consistently in the high 12-second range, I finished my night strong with a 12.60 @ 113.60 mph! Not bad for a stock car for under $30 grand!

The really impressive part is the fact that on my way home from the drag strip that same night, the same car was averaging (driving through both city streets and country roads) over 28 miles per gallon.

I love my Mustang and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for lots of fun while still achieving great fuel economy.

N. Rodriguez Nice! I own an 07 mustang gt now (my 08 was destroyed in an accident. ) and with similar mods to my 08, it gets an average of 20.5 miles per galon city. (yes I know mods influence fuel efficiancy, but it's still a pretty good merit to Ford.)Now all I need to do is get better at racing. :P

yeah its cool. when i bought my car every 5 seconds it wrote different mpg and it was over 10mpg huyndai tucson

Laura I have the same car without the tall rear end ('12 Base GT with Brembo) and I don't get 28 mpg but I do average 20 MPG on my 8 mile city and highway commute-- this is great since I have to shut it down as soon as it's warm. Love those summer Pirellis!

Joe Gruce That is good to hear. Question is where you using high octane or good old 89? This has sealed the deal for me to get a GT in the next few years. I'm saving my pennies and dimes.

Barnsy I have an XR6T Falcon in Australia it averages 7.5l/100km(37.5mpg) on the highway and 10l/100km(28mpg)around town. it is 310kw(415hp)off the showroom floor has a 6060 Tremec close ratio 6 speed manual box linked to 2.92:1 detroit locker live rear end and straight out the box pulls 13's for the quarter and 0-100(0-60mph)4.9secs. And Ford want to drop this and give us a SHO Taurus instead.
