My father is a Ford enthusiast. Therefore, he has two daughters that are as well. When he sold his 1967 Mustang GT my older sister cried. I was too young to understand at the time but when Ford introduced the 2005 Mustang, I somehow got it. Windveil Blue became my new favorite color.

The day before our wedding in September 2009 my husband, Matt, was in an accident which left his 2004 Ford F-150 FX4 totaled. He loved that truck. You couldn’t blame him really, it was a dependable truck that looked great. I was so thankful that he however, walked away without a scratch.

The wedding went on without a hitch and the day of, one of Matt’s dear friends and co-workers, Greg, drove his 2005 Windveil Blue Mustang GT to our wedding. It was that little extra thing that made the day even more exciting than I had anticipated. Sure you see them on the road and in the parking lot, but to sit in and awe over close up? A dream come true!

When I look back at this picture I remember the excitement of seeing my dream car in person and the wonderful memories of our wedding day. It also reminds me of how thankful I am for Ford’s excellent safety engineering that goes into each and every model. Had Matt not been in such a safe truck this picture may have not even taken place. Matt has purchased another F-150 and as for me, I am yet to part with my 2001 Explorer Sport with 125,000 glorious miles.

Thank you Ford, for keeping my family safe!!!

A Track Pack should be offered on the V6 Mustang that is similar to the Track Pack that is now offered on the 2013 Mustang GT. Ideally, the package would consist of the components of the V6 Performance Pack with these additions: 1) Brembo brakes (with 19 x 9" wheels to clear the brakes), 2) engine oil cooler, 3) 7000 rpm driveshaft to allow minimum 145 mph governed speed, 4) Torsen differential, 5) larger radiator (if needed), 6) engine calibration that takes advantage of premium fuel and has more engine braking, 7) Track Aps gauge package on base cars. All of this can be sourced from current production parts with the possible exception of a 3.31 Torsen. If you used the existing 3.73 Torsen, it would probably require using the V8 MT82 gearing to minimize the impact on fuel economy, but the closer ratios would be appreciated.
